Purpose and Content – The Events in Music component provides information concerning opportunities throughout the world for the professional development of musicians. Such opportunities as festivals, competitions, symposia, workshops, institutes, awards, scholarships, and international music conferences are included. It thus provides information for musicians concerning opportunities throughout the world of music, both in and outside the realm of music teaching in higher education.
The Editor – The CMS Executive Office staff serves as editor of Events in Music, managing information received.
Editorial Procedures – Information provided to the CMS Executive Office is reviewed and, if applicable, accepted for inclusion in Events in Music. The CMS Staff makes every effort to add in a timely manner accepted information to Events in Music.
